Golf Tournament

Dear Friends:

We are excited to be making plans for the 2017 health mission to Montego Bay. You and your golf partners will enjoy an exciting 18-hole challenge at one of Atlanta’s premier golf courses as you help the Committee realize its plans and goals for this year’s mission. Your support of this event means a great deal to us.

The Atlanta-Montego Bay Sister Cities Committee Inc. and our dedicated sponsors and supporters continue the partnership to ensure that those who are less fortunate receive quality healthcare. Our annual mission has improved the lives of many citizens in Montego Bay and the surrounding areas.

This year marks the 15th occasion in which we once again join forces to present the Atlanta-Montego Bay Sister Cities Committee’s Golf Tournament also known as the Frank Roberts Memorial in honor of Dr. Frank Roberts, one of the original designers of the mission.

(Contributions may be tax deductible as allowed by IRS code.)

The Atlanta-Montego Bay Sister Cities Committee Inc. is an, international organization with a branch in Atlanta, Georgia and another in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The Committee represents one of eighteen such Sister Cities relationships that fall under the umbrella of The Atlanta Sister Cities Commission. It is chartered by the City of Atlanta and is affiliated with Sister Cities International, which controls Sister Cities’ relationships worldwide. The President of the United States is the honorary chair.

The relationship between Atlanta and Montego Bay was established in 1972 by formal declarations in both cities. The Committee is run by a Chairperson and has several sub-committees. Over the past twenty three years, the Health and Human Services Committee has conducted annual medical missions to Montego Bay. Medical doctors, nurses and other health care professionals from the Committee have provided care to more than 45,000 under-served residents of Montego Bay and have donated medicine and supplies of significant value to the residents.

We are thankful to the many health care professionals, sponsors and volunteers for their commitment to our medical mission. However, without the financial assistance of the wider Atlanta community, our task would be more difficult.

Thank you for your continued support.
